Caring Every Day Campaign
Supported by America's top business leaders, the Caring Every Day Campaign is NFCA's
public education effort designed to reach family caregivers across the country with
educational resources and support. Throughout the year, we offer family caregivers
three daily principles to make their lives easier, improve care and raise awareness:
Believe in Yourself, Protect your Health and Reach Out for Help.
The Campaign is designed as a multi-year initiative with the goal of recruiting corporations to join as partners, raise funds to support NFCA’s efforts to build its community of family caregivers, and reach caregivers through online promotions, national attention, and NFCA's Caregiver Community Action Network.
NFCA, along with its corporate partners, enjoyed much success in the first year of
the launch of the campaign including:
- Significant traffic to the NFCA Web site
- Special projects surrounding Medicare Part D education
- Cross-promotions with project partners
- Over 50 grassroots activities initiated by NFCA volunteers
- Integration of campaign messages into all of NFCA's educational products (i.e., website, newsletter, learning library)
- Strong branding and promotional effort
- National media coverage that reached hundreds of thousands of people with messages important to family caregivers
Today, the campaign focuses on building Family Caregiver Communities across the
country to engage an even larger number of caregivers through:
- Online Promotions: Family caregivers will be reached through NFCA's expanding E-Mail newsletter, online bulletin boards, story project opportunities for family caregivers and peer support groups.
- National Attention: Family caregivers and community health partners will receive Take Care! Magazine. National media outreach will also be conducted to reinforce the campaign's three messages for family caregivers.
- CCAN: Family caregivers at the local level will be reached through partner promotions and educational workshops.
Companies that join as partners of the campaign will receive sponsor recognition
through a variety of customized approaches. You can: increase reach to your target
audience through online promotions and educational outreach, enhance employee
relations by providing support materials and resources, benefit from local and
national media exposure through your alignment with NFCA.
