National Family Caregivers Month November 2009
National Family Caregivers Month is organized every November by the National Family Caregivers Association as a time each year to thank, support, educate and empower family caregivers.
The National Family Caregivers Association is grateful to everyone involved with making the 2009 celebration of NFC Month so successful. We thank our NFC Month sponsors, endorsing organizations, regional and local caregiving organizations, volunteers, and most importantly family caregivers.
NFC Month 2009 was officially proclaimed by President Barack Obama, with an additional message from Assistant Secretary for Aging Kathy Greenlee (see below). There were also proclamations from governors, mayors and municipalities. NFC Month was prominently featured in the national, regional and local media as well as on hundreds of web sites, blogs and newsletters.
