How to do a Proclamation:

What — A proclamation is made by a local government official. It is designed to provide “official” recognition at the city, town, county, or even state level for NFC Month. Have November declared NFC Month in your city! Every year NFCA receives a national proclamation from the White House.

HowClick here for a proclamation template — or consider this as an outline for drafting your own proclamation.

When — Begin work on this immediately as it takes a while for government offices anywhere to make decisions!

Where — Contact the offices of your mayor, county executive, or governor to learn what steps to take to receive this recognition. Contact information for government officials can be found at www.firstgov.gov.
